TAI Engineering is Hiring a Warehouse Manager Near Garland, TX
In this role you will oversee the correct management of the activities related to the raw material receipts and storage level, coordinating the personnel involved in the warehouse.
Qualifications/Responsibilities:
- Implements at plant level processes, procedures and policies to assure effective and efficient results in terms of Warehousing: inventory accuracy, productivity, inventory management, picking punctuality.
- Manages the arrival and delivery of goods and the warehouses’ inventories, including the external ones; guarantees the optimization of the material storage spaces and FIFO (First In – First Out) process.
- Coordinates with the Manufacturing and Shipping teams with regards to transfer of finished goods.
- Guarantees the correct documentation necessary to obtain and preserve the plant licenses according to local legislation and takes care of the administrative deadlines.
- Ensures the adequate training / learning opportunities is delivered to assigned resources.
- Maintains the highest standards of customer service by immediately attending and resolving customer issues.
- Conducts regular cycle count as per established schedules and guidelines. Evaluates and analyzes inventory variance. Implements countermeasures based on the result of inventory variances.
- Ensures the safety of assigned resources, spreading a safety culture and fostering personal involvement.
- Organizes the procurement and distribution of workwear to all the personnel.
- Meets the warehouse financial standards by providing annual budget info, monthly expenditure, identifying variances and implementing preventive actions.
- Fostering the client's Production System culture of work. Including methodologies of 5s, continuous improvement, reduce waste, Kanban and other lean manufacturing tools.
- 5 years’ experience in logistics / material supply within a multi-product manufacturing environment.
- 2 years of experience in a full managerial role (including shift patterns; workload; etc.)
- Experienced in logistical/material supply methodologies, preferably including Lean principles and Six Sigma.
- Experience in SAP is preferred.
